Nitrix

Nitrix from BSN is our featured nitric oxide pill. Typically, we’re into the powdered drinks, as they’re usually a better deal and pack more punch for less money. But there’s a bunch of good reasons to go with nitric oxide pills:

Nitrix Benefits

  1. Convenience – No messy powders, you can easily bring them to work, etc.
  2. If you don’t want to be bloated with water like some other drinks will make you, you can take it to avoid that.
  3. There’s no awful taste. Some people just can’t handle the artificial flavoring of other nitric oxide supplements.
  4. You can modify your dosages and pop a few here and there all day long – for a constant pump!

So those are the benefits of nitric oxide pills, but why do we choose it? It comes down to value and ingredient selection.

In every three tablets of Nitrix, you get 3g of the pump complex, and 1.5g of everything else, which mainly consists of creatine and beta alanine, two things we constantly rave about on this site. So is a 3 tablet dosage going to get you a ferocious pump and energy in the gym like Jack3d or SuperPump 250 would? No. But can this be used to keep you rock solid all day long? Yes!

Nitrix Stacking – Taking the Pump Even Further

And can it safely be used alongside other pre-workout supplements like Jack3d to insanely magnify the pump? Hell yes – that’s one of the most beautiful things about this amazing NO booster!

We love our caffeine-based pre-workout, but Nitrix has none. In our case here, that’s a good thing. Often times, we want more pump and vascularity, but don’t want to get too “cracked out” on energy by taking the maximum of 3 scoops of Jack3d or SuperPump to get there. Nitrix makes the perfect add-on, and it can be taken later in the evening when you’d like to get a nice little rock-solid feeling before heading out without an insane amount of caffeine (ie. take a few of these pills, do 100 pushups or pullups, shower up, and hit the streets feeling that much more stoked).

If you need caffeine pre-workout, buy some caffeine pills on the cheap alongside it, perhaps even some 1,3 dimethylamylamine to go with that. But for the rest of the day, you don’t need to be popping caffeine pills all day long and losing sleep – best of both worlds!

The directions state to take 3 tablets, 3 times a day, always on an empty stomach. If you’re over 200lbs, you can take 4 tablets 3 times a day. With Nitrix BSN has made sure that you are are getting your pump safely. It has been around forever and there are no Nitrix side effects.

what product is beat for me? i’m a diabetic with hypertention but i still work out with weights. with the claims of nitric oxide suppliments, how will the affect my condition if i take them?

    • Admin 07. Aug, 2011 at 5:21 pm #

You need to speak with a doctor regarding any supplement plan if you have diabetes. For what it’s worth, you should look into a Paleo Diet – it REALLY helps diabetic patients.

can nitrix maximize my muscle volume and How many tablets i will take for volumize my muscle size and toned.

    • Admin 24. Sep, 2011 at 12:14 pm #

I don’t know about “maximize” since you really can’t define or quantify that, but it will definitely increase volume and size. Just follow the instructions on the label, they’re sufficient.

Am a hardgainer weigh 70kg..can I use nitrix n a protein shake 2gether..n will nitrix give me sum mass?

    • Admin 04. Oct, 2011 at 10:23 pm #

The pumps are great, but how do you expect these pills to give you MASS? Mass, by definition, is going to come from the foods you eat and liquids you drink. Focus on intense workouts with big compound exercises and eating quality, natural foods – vegetables, clean carbs, protein, meat, and healthy fats (natural saturated fat, avocados, coconut, olive oil, fish, nuts, eggs, etc).

    hi there
i have always been lean and i want to be lean . but will this give a more lean size . i m a soccer player and i dnt want to gain weight nd fat , i just want bit of more lean muscle nd fully pumped . can we keep taking protein with it ??

    • Admin 16. Oct, 2011 at 6:41 am #

We’re not sure what “more lean size” means, but yes, you can (and should) take this product with protein, and it will do exactly what you want – keep you pumped. Take this before practice and games and you’ll have some speed burst increases too – it’s definitely a performance enhancer! Good luck!

Can you take nitrix with cell-tech hardcore?

    • Admin 25. Nov, 2011 at 11:30 pm #

Good question. We’d say you “can”… but then you’re going to be getting a pretty big dosage of creatine – more than most people take in a day (> 10g). If you have any gastrointestinal problems, then stop, or take less Cell-Tech since you’ll be getting about 1g or so of creatine per serving of Nitrix. Cell-Tech has 10g per serving, so maybe start with 1/2 serving of it and move up as you see fit.

On workout days, try Nitrix pre-workout on an empty stomach or before your pre-workout meal and Cell-Tech post-workout. That’s how we’d stack these two.

Hi im 18 years old 5’11 and about 150lbs. Im looking to gain weight and get bigger for sports. One of my old coaches told me about BSN Nitrix. If i use this product will i notice a diffrence in my frame of getting bigger and putting on mass or is this just to keep me energized through out the day.

Yo yo. 6’3 – 260 ex defensive end here, put on about 25 lbs of body fat in college, have even been as much as 305, but getting back into working out everyday again (as of the past 3 weeks) and my old roommate gave me a bottle of 180 of this product for free. since i was looking to buy a preworkout with NO anyway i figured this would be good for energy, just didnt want to be retaining a ton of water weight nor size in the stomach. wondering if this product is right for me. SIDENOTE – i did a wynstrol cycle last summer and cut from 285-240 over the summer and put on a shit ton of muscle, lost it though with little working out and alot of fast food, not looking to mess with the hormones ever again either as I had painful kidneystone surgery which the doctors attested to the wynstrol (50 mg pills). thanks for any kind of advice…

This is actually less of an energy product and more of a pump product. The creatine inside could make you retain a dash of water, but nothing big since you’re big. I’d go for it here since it’s free, but if you want energy, look at the other products listed on our site, such as on the Best Pre Workout Supplement chart.

Can I take nitrix with nitro-tech hardcore?

    • Admin 31. Jan, 2012 at 1:39 pm #

Yes. They both have creatine in it, but neither should have enough to cause any problems or overloading. There are definitely better protein products than Nitro Tech though… a standard whey protein powder would probably do just fine.

      • sarivera 31. Jan, 2012 at 2:39 pm #

Do you recommend change the Nitro Tech by standard Whey Protein ..?

        • Admin 06. Feb, 2012 at 10:03 pm #

Yes, I’m a fan of good ol’ fashioned Whey Protein and food. No need for crazy powders like Nitro Tech. If you’re slightly lactose intolerant, get a good pure whey protein isolate.

can i get this stuff in australia ?

  10. sarivera 12. May, 2012 at 3:38 am #

In order to see Nitrix results is necesary take protein powders..?
The combination of protein powders and Nitrix maximise the results..?
If I take only Nitrix I’ll be able to see good changes..?

    • Admin 14. May, 2012 at 8:39 am #

Nitrix alone will likely not do anything besides give you some fun pumps for your workouts. Long term, you need to focus on EATING FOOD and a REAL DIET. Protein is a part of that plan, but it’s not everything. See the plan on the right side of this page for a great diet and training routine for free.

I’m 14 years old 5’6 and weigh about 120. I workout 4-5 days a week at a weigh room and my coaches are great, but I feel like I need a little more motivation and something to help me push myself. Is it bad for me to take Nitrix??

    • Admin 16. Jul, 2012 at 11:28 am #

I don’t think it’s approved for your age group, but a small half dosage might give you a nice pump.

Your real success will be made in the kitchen and in the gym, though, not in a bottle.
